"Mickey Demeo" was a well-known alias for Mike Esposito. He used the "Demeo" moniker because he mostly did work for DC during this period and it was an unwritten rule that writers and artists there could not work for the competition, and when they inevitably did, they had to use a "nom de plume" so to speak.
