Description

Here we have a full figure masterwork of Spiderman drawn and signed by the legendary John Romita Sr.

This detailed pencil art was the original design sketch for the Diamond Galleries logo, which distributed Spider-man and other Marvel comics. This logo appeared in many place, including on the trucks that delivered the comics, This design sketch has been printed in articles featuring interviews with John Romita, who supplied this art and signed it. The final version of this pose has been used and reused many times over the years and is one of the better remembered Spider-man poses. It's also the design which was used with a slight alteration to the left arm in a Spiderman Universe Cover. See additional image for comparison.

This particular piece was drawn on vellum, and that is a good thing. The Declaration of Indepence and many important historic documents were written on vellum, because vellum last forever. This piece will be sold matted and framed.
