La cosa interessante di questa eccellente copertina a tempera dell'artista Corbella fu che, SENZA VOLERLO, rivelò ai lettori la vera identità del Colonnello IVAN che in realtà era IVANA, una bellissima ragazza dai lunghi e fluenti capelli biondi disegnata da una Lina Buffolente nel pieno delle sue qualità inchiostrative ...

I lettori di Liberty Kid, personaggio interno al quale la copertina si riferisce sapranno solo in seguito che il colonnello Ivan era la bella Ivana...

Riguardo la bravissima signora Buffolente devo dire che i suoi disegni dei primi anni 50 sono molto belli ed accurati .
Già dai primi anni 60 lei divenne più sbrigativa , non eseguiva più un disegno a matita molto accurato, ma faceva solo degli schizzi di massima a matita, appena accennati, mentre tutti i dettagli delle vignette li faceva direttamente nella fase di ripasso a china e questo si vedeva (per me), troppo spesso i menti dei visi dei personaggi avevano un tratto più pesante di tutto il resto.
