DescriptionThis was a fun piece I did to get a little practice drawing the Punisher. My bud Robert Krolikowski (Greatest name of all time!) got me started on the Punisher and now I can't stop! I did this one as sort of a companion type piece to the Kingpin piece I have lsietd in my Marvel gallery. I thought it looked like the Punisher (sheck out all of those notches on his gun as well... somebody's been busy!) was sitting in a basement or something cleaning blood off of his knife after a battle. I threw bits and pieces in from different characters including some of his greatest villains: the Kingpin (coat hanging by knives from wall and walking stick), Bullseye (mask and various ace of spades cards here and there) as well as some other Marvel heroes that he has gone toe to toe with: Captain America (shield), Spider-man (suit draped over amo crate), Daredevil (mask and weapon lying on floor), and Wolverine (his freaking arm has been torn off at the elbow and is dripping blood all over the Punisher's floor!!). My favorite part of this piece, however, has to be the varsity / high school sweater of the Punisher's most terrifying foe to date... Archie Andrews!!! Does anyone else remember that crossover?! I tell you what... If anyone remembers that thing... If you're the first person to tell me, in the comments section below, who was supposed to be the next Marvel / Archie crossover (according to the last page of that story anyway), I will send you a free 8.5 X 11 sketch of your favorite character free of charge! I will contact whoever gives me the answer first and will create a special, one of a kind, sketch of any character of your choosing... Just for remebering that damn crossover! Man that thing was bad! Enjoy the new Punisher piece everybody!Social/Sharing |

Fantastic piece Jamie. "Archie Meets the Punisher" or "The Punisher Meets Archie" was published in 1994 with two separate covers by Marvel Comics and Archie Comics. John Buscema was the penciller of Punisher. It is indeed the "archie"-enemy (hahaha)

Indeed, the answer to your question is that, in the last panel of page 49 displayed Wolverine claws, but the crossover was a joke, never came to fruition.
