I saw this on ebay and was planning to bid, but when I saw the top bid was already my maximum, I didn't bother. Funny that's the amount that ended up being the winning bid. I was watching at the end and thought about upping it at the last second, but then deicded not to. Glad you got it. And thanks for showing a nice big scan. The ebay scan was really small. Anyway, congratulations!

The details on the background is something really astonishing. It's clearly done to render at best the effect on the white wing, but probably it took much more time and effort than the easy and logical option of detailing the wing itself. When you things for beauty's sake, in spite of time - then, it is art, and nothing else. An incredible, beautiful piece you have here, congrats!
