Description

Another cornerstone piece-- the previous owner who got this from Jeff thought it was one of Jeff's two best inked works. I agree. Back in the day, Jeff penciled this piece, and decided he wanted both a penciled version and an inked version, so he had a high quality copy of the pencil version made. He then dramatically inked the high quality penciled copy, producing this one, famous, very large and finished inked piece. It's incredible, and there's A LOT of ink here!! A moving and memorable image. Jeff also hand colored several prints of this version, and he also produced a black and white print of this.

This is among Jeffrey's nicest inking, but more important, it's among her most powerful image-making. A beautiful piece, as thought-provoking now as it was when it first saw print.
