DescriptionA holy grail for Jones collectors. HUGE oil, 48 x 72". Jones' perfectly realized zen statement of melancholy, innocence and quiet beauty. I've loved and admired this work ever since I bought a print of it back in the day-- which I still own. Age of Innocence is not only an iconic and revered work of art, it is certainly the cornerstone of Jones' considerable oeuvre.Social/Sharing |

Congratulations Rob ! Such a wonderful art. And as says Peter, you'll have to open a gallery. I would really like to see it in real.

This is amazing, realy one of the most beautiful paintings of childhood innocence ever created. I wonder what Mary Cassatt would have thought of this painting. She would have loved it! An absolutey timeless transcendant masterwork. Congrats on a huge and highly important pickup!

A timeless classic, it would certainly be worthy of being shown in a fine art museum. Thanks so much for sharing this masterpiece!

Extraordinary portrait of commanding beauty. It's like stumbling upon a private moment. I'll join the rest of CAF at the Opening:-)

I don't think a civilized language exists that could adequately describe this piece. Your collection was always on another level, but this piece truly places you in a league of your own. I would actually pay money just for the privilege of seeing this in person. Congratulations!

Beautiful painting! I can now understand why even a legend like Frank Frazetta admired Jones. I could look at this painting for hours and not get tired of it.

The best Jeff Jones painting hands down! Robert put this painting on the left wall the Icarus Smith on right wall and the Frazetta Tarzan on Lion on the center wall. That's all you need.

You've gotta be kidding me!! Rob, how do you come across all of this fabulous art? I'm sure you deserve it, but you are one lucky guy/dude/sob.

I think a little luck may have to do with it, but I think moreso it's collecting with focus. It's all out there. I think about the pieces I want and what I would pay for them, so when they appear I pull the trigger without further thought. So I'd say it's all in the planning?

Many of us focus on the Henry Hui CGC thread. Your piece Age of Innocence comes up repeatedly and I will say it again. Masterpiece 🍇 + 🦍 gives five stars.

Its rather large and I have limited wall space...I think I could make room. The shipping costs....You better hang onto it. Note I did not even mention what the art would cost since I regard this as a museum worthy quality piece of art and not a regional museum either.
