Description
This piece was a long time coming. Took me a while to decide on exactly what I wanted Ron to do but the end result was well worth it. Once done it was mistakenly sent to another collector - luckily it was a friend who sent it on it's way to me right away - thanks for that Ryan.

This was my 'what if' scenario for the WWH story line ... how I would written the ending rather than the odd Sentry ending that we got in the finale WWH - how anticlimactic.

This one could go in the Hulk vs folder ... or the homage folder. I love the homage from which this was inspired so it will go there. 100 gamma points for the first person who can spot and name the homage (my fellow SFers are exempt as they already know the homage).

UPDATE: Michael Williams correctly identified the homage - nice job! This is inspired from Hulk issue 227 - my favorite page fro one of my favorite issues - must have read that copy 100 times as a kid. Image added from the actual page.

UPDATE: A fellow statue collector liked my concept so much he had a one of a kind custom statue created! My first commission inspired sculptor!

UPDATE: Added Dale Keown page which shares a striking similarity to the original page by Sal Buscema

Great piece!! Can't spot the homage, though. I remember a Sal Buscema splash with the Hulk holding Banner in this way, but I can't think of anything else. Dying to know!!

Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner! You nailed it. My favorite page from a favorite issue as a youngster. Homage reference posted.

Great homage piece! I think we say it all the time but I don't ever feel it's oversaid (until it finally happens...) Ron needs to get a regular run on a Hulk book!

Great image - fantastic commission, and I love the fact that it inspired a unique sculpture too. Very cool indeed!

Looks like an homage to page 16 of TIH 367 with Madman vs. Hulk.

Hey Sean, missed this reply. While not what my commission homage was created from, a very good additional call out. I wonder if Dale was drawing an homage to Sal's page. Thanks! (reference pic added)

Tight pencils  by Ron Lim on this great hulk page ! Makes me wonder why I didn't buy some of these back in the day when I saw Ron at SDCC all those years, but I did buy his inked pieces none the less since 1992 !
