Description

A little damage to the white out at the bottom of panel three that probably occured when the stat was removed, and a little rubber cement staining from the stat in panel five. Both editorial stats were already missing when I acquired the page.

This is an interesting bit of Marvel history, and I always thought that the censorship here actually enhanced the sequence and made it more sophisticated and adult, as opposed to what Steranko drew as shown in your CAF. The stat in the last panel of the printed version that showed a gun snugly fit into a holster still packs an erotic wallop today, coming at the "climax" of this romantic scene.

Mark, thanks. There are definitely differing opinions on the page. A few other collectors besides yourself have told me that they like the printed version better. I can appreciate that.. The gun in the holster reminds me of the end of Hitchcock's, "North By Northwest" with the train going into the tunnel. Hey if it works for Hitch, who's to argue. I just happen to like the clarity of the uncensored version better.
