Princess Projectra and Karate Kid by Gene Gonzales

I've been thinking about commissioning a Val and Jeckie piece for quite some time, and Gene's paintings of Legionnaires are always fabulous, so I asked him to paint this commission for me. Gene sent a few ideas to me for this piece, and the one of Jeckie projecting an image of Val was my favorite. Gene said "Since the Princess is using her power to create an illusion of Karate Kid, I let the bottom of his figure break up, and I left his right side simplified. So most of him looks as 'real' as her, but since she is not done, he is not complete. At least that is what I was shooting for with this." I absolutely love this and will one day have it framed to hang beside Gene's Shrinking Violet painitng. Thanks again, Gene!
