DescriptionThe nice thing about romance comics is that it allowed the writers to tell all kinds of stories; they weren't held to characters in tight suits, or space helmets. They could pick from many different situations and walks of life. In this story, Dick, the flight instructor, tells his student Betty that she should just give up flying... not knowing that during their next lesson he will have a heart attack and she will have to fly him to a hospital. She crashes the plane, but still gets the guy. Not your run of the mill romance job with talking heads and kissing... but some nice airplane shots too. Interestingly, Harvey covered up Certa and Belfi's signature with the "True Love Story" paste-up.Social/Sharing |
