Kevin Moorhead's Marvel/Avengers Big Three, this group shot shows Canada's Golden Age Greats(?):
Commander Steel - As Commander Steel, Jack Steel fought chiefly against Nazi during the war, and afterward, he traveled the globe as an agent of the International Police Service.
Nelvana of the Northern Lights - Nelvana was a demi-goddess, the daughter of King Koliak and a mortal. She became the protector of the Inuit people aided by her brother Tanero using their abilities to protect the Inuits from threats such as the Axis powers or aliens.
Penguin - The Penguin was a detective and master spy who protected Canada against Axis spies, saboteurs an infiltrators during World War II. Wearing a coat and tales and a distinctive face mask, the Penguin was an acrobat, expert hand-to-hand combatant, marksman, master detective and the most prominent mystery man in Canada, so much so that his true identity became one of the secrets that spies most sought from Canada.
These guys were featured in various
"Canadian Whites", comic books produced in black and white and an occasional actual color during WWII when American comic imports were restricted.
