Description

Rune 0 was always my favorite issue from the series followed by Rune 5. This is one of the best pages from Rune and unforgettable to me because my dog who lived to be 18 years old died the day I inked it (9-8-93). I still miss him very much.
Anyway, this work represents my original take on how I should ink Barry. At this point, Barry had mainly helped me with spotting of blacks. In later issues Barry encouraged me to go looser with my inks. Though I found this instruction very useful, I was never convinced that it actually looked better on his pencils than the tighter way I had originally chosen to ink him as seen on this page. Obviously, BWS's pencils on this page were just killer! And my inks not too shabby either.

I asked BWS studio a few years ago if they had this page for sale. They told me it wasn't available. This is one of my favorite pages from Rune also. That 1st panel is just incredible. I always wished that the Marvel Malibu buyout never happened and that you and BWS continued working on the series.
