DescriptionI met Mark Morales several years ago through Legion artist Barry Kitson. He is a very talented guy who can ink and bring out the best in an artists work by blending styles. But he is no slouch in the pencilling department and this commission highlights all his artistic talentsHe is accomplished and very much in demand. That is why this Re-Legion piece was on the back burner for a long time. I knew I would have to wait as Mark has been involved in many amazing projects such as Secret Invasion, Civil War, Fear Itself , Avengers : Chidrens Crusade, Thor and upcoming events like Avengers Vs The X-Men etc etc. However when it was my turn , Mark focused on this Re-Legion project like a laser. This was done in just over a week, alongside his juggling the regular demands. Everyday, I got an image., prelims, pencils, character changes ( We changed Supergirl to the White Witch for more dramatic effect, those attennae are eye-catching, and in part because the Great Darkness Saga re-introduced her to the Legion ), partial inks, final inks and logo overlays. The man does it all and does it all well... It really was amazing to see this come to life. Mark had chosen this classic cover from the Secret Six. Originally we were going to use it as a device to highlight the Legion Espionage Squad going up against Universo a la the early Adventure Comics era stories but Mark liked the idea of linking the hynotizing voice of the Mockingbird with the power of Darkseid and the rest is history. Mark Morales is a great guy who does amazing work and I am thrilled to have some of his work in my Re-Legion Gallery. Enjoy Aidan Social/Sharing |

Step aside, RJ Brande -- the Legion never had a bigger benefactor than Aidan Lacy. This piece rocks!
