TMNT Part 02

TMNT Part 02: This is a transfer I did on 11 x 14 art board. Normally I'd shade one side of the tracing paper in HB, but this time I decided to save the trace and buy a graphite transfer sheet. Although a learning curve - there are a few lines on this board that I wish I could fully erase but can't - I like the fact that the image looks more cleaned up. At this point, I'm still in debate about the medium to use. One part of me wants to use copics. Another wants to use watercolor. A third wants to do both, the former being the test and the latter the final product. Color is definitely what I want to do with the Turtles, but it all depends on the background, which will either be a rooftop or even a sewer. I'll probably choose a rooftop because the moon would be a perfect light source for the shadows. Of course this would influence the tone of their skin and accoutrements. The blank areas on Leo's hand, Raph's hand, and Don's forearm are bc a) the enlargement didn't cover them, and b) I wanted them free for their weapons to be drawn with rulers.
