Description
These are two sketch cards done by Otis Frampton illustrating the origin of Cool Rider from Grease 2. If you give Grease 2 another viewing, you can see it takes the shape of a classic comic book origin story, with songs.

It starts with a stranger from a strange land arriving in a small town. He is meek and mild and doesn't fit in. He meets the pretty and sassy female lead who wants to meet a Cool Rider. (Top pic)

Our hero then goes through a training montage and shows up as Cool Rider and has his first fight with the bad guy, Crater Face. (Bottom pic)

He lowers his voice a couple of octaves and almost unmasks to our heroine. They are interrupted and after a chase our hero is seemingly defeated and possible dead. No police are called and the witnesses all go back to high school to try to win some albums.

At the graduation luau, the evil Crater Face returns to try to wreck the festivities. However, our hero returns!

After a climactic battle, evil is vanquished and Cool Rider saves the day. And also begins a long standing tradition of taking his mask off so everyone can see his face. (See all current comic book based films.)

If you don't believe me, please go back and watch the film. It should be titled Grease 2: A Superhero Musical.

I liked this so much that I went over to Otis Frampton's blog and got my own Cool Rider. I will post soon in gallery.

Thanks! I think it's awesome that you were inspired by these. I saw the rough Otis was doing of the new Cool Rider piece and was wondering who was getting it. I look forward to seeing the final piece.
