A scan of the original fanzine splash page to FANTASY ADVERTISER Volume II Number 5, January 1948 page 13, the title page to the article "The Shaver Series As Literature" by Thomas H. Carter. Three of the other illustrations in this article were drawn by someone who would go on to be known primarily for his writing, Lin Carter. This Manning illustration was the only one he did for the entire issue.
