DescriptionEver since finding Terry's work I have been looking for a page by him. The first series that I read by Terry was Echo. I loved the story so started reading his latest series Rachel Rising. I read the first series of Strangers in Paradise but of the 3 series so far I am enjoying Rachel Rising the most. Echo was great but I was having trouble pinning down one specific page that would be able to properly represent the series so I have been keeping my eye out for Rachel Rising pages.Well a few days ago, Terry posted on twitter that he was going to be listing some pages for sale in his online store the next day. I patiently waited for him to list the pages. As I was looking through them I saw page 18 from issue 11 of Rachel Rising and it immediately spoke to me. I sent Robyn an email as fast as I could to claim the piece. Boy am I glad I did. This piece perfectly represents the mood and feeling of Rachel Rising. For those of you that haven't read it Rachel was dead and has now been resurrected. I must really like stories about the dead being resurrected (Dead@17 and now Rachel Rising). The page shows Rachel awaking to find herself buried after having a conversation with Lilith who had resurrected her. A beautifully rendered page that now gives me a great example of Terry's work in my collection. I especially love the third panel of the close-up of Rachel's face. A very dramatic page. Size 10.75x16.25. Social/Sharing |
