Description

This has been one of my favorite acquisitions... I saw it available from the Wrightson's some time back, but by the time I inquired it had been sold. As luck would have it, I saw it come up early on eBay, managed to work out a good deal, and now "The Reaper" is in my home...

In a good way!

Wrightson's signature is prononced in this piece, and I'm having fun using the V-Groover. So, I wanted to do something with more of this look... It was pretty nerving the first few times using the V-Groover, because it's very unforgiving, but I'm getting the knack of it all...

After finishing "The Reaper" section and making the V-Grooves, the top had too much space. So, after much deliberation, I decided to find a reference for "Death"... Mind you, this is not something I usually think much about!!!

Anyway, after hours looking at poems, songs, and quotes... I heard Jim Morrison's "Five to One", and of course the infamous lyric "No one here gets out alive". Brilliant, a short distinct reference to "Death", by one of my all time favorite song writer/singers... To be paired with my all time favorite artist.

Well, the lights went on for me, and while other's may not have chosen the combination, if they'd chosen a combination at all...

I really didn't do this for other's, but here it is anyway!!!

Found this to be in the centerfold for the "Look Out He's got an Axe" - Doodles and Sketches on the Cutting Edge sketchbook.
