Description

For those who are interested in the concepts and characters presented in Hannibal's works, here are a few words of description on this piece from Hannibal himself:

"The little faun with the musical instrument is showing off his musical talent to the attentive nymph. He wanted the nymph's admiration and approval so much that he practice(s) everyday. Faun's favorite musical instrument usually are flutes but they are also very adept at playing with other musical instruments. Full grown satyrs always seek out nymphs to satisfy their sexual cravings.

The big smiling character is known locally as "apo lakay", which means old grandfather or grand old wise man. Guardian of the forest, this grand old being sees all, knows all things within the expanse of his vast territory with his immense old age and unparalled vision and wisdom. The faun's father is intently observing his son at the back.

The sad little fuzzy fellow is called "Sigbin". He is a shape shifter. He can change his image into anything but not bigger than his usual size. Originally, he looks like a mixture of dog and rabbit. He loves to bury his head in the ground when playing. He looks harmless but there have been many reports of people attacked and killed by Sigbin. He drains the victim's blood like a vampire. I prefer to portray him as cute and harmless.

And the little faun hiding under the big mushroom seems to be my alter ego."
