I love this piece, it's so unique and awesome. Joe Kubert doing what he does best -- draw and teach. And it's in full color! A true one of a kind original by the legendary Joe Kubert (pencils, inks and some colors) with a tiny assist by his son Andy who provided the great lettering and some of the colors.

This is an amazing two page spread done completely on one page in "widescreen" format. Approximately 20" x 13" using pencils with black inks on white Bristol board original art paper stock supplied by DC Comics and then hand colored using a mix of color inks and watercolors. Dynamite/Scholastic told Joe that they had the ability to shoot the artwork directly, colors and all, so Joe went to town. Because of this layout format, there are no paste-ons.

What's really cool about this page is Joe talking about the creative process and what inspires him to draw. His love of dinosaurs and Tarzan and Mowgli stories inspired his favorite creation, Tor, who appears in three panels and became a symbol for the Kubert School. There is also a great dinosaur panel and a DC Heroes panel with Batman, Hawkman, the GA Flash, Superman and Kid Flash. And a head shot of smiling Joe himself. "Let your imagination go!"
