Description
First page to the 3-page story "Out of Action" which was published in 1972. The war subject matter in these early issues of "Weird War Tales" was quite dark with a creepy twist. This was the first story in the 7th issue. This piece of original art came directly from the Joe Kubert Estate.

Even reduced to thumbnail size, the page reads clearly because of Kubert's superb spotting of his blacks. An outstanding piece.

Wow!!! Those faces, atmospheric shadows, and hand grenade explosion sequence, beautifully laid out to tell the story. Crazily fab! Didn't know Marv Wolfman wrote any DC war stories.
