Dr. Fate 2 pg 1 no overlay

I purchased this over-sized piece from Mark McKenna at the Wizard Chicago convention in 2000. This piece stood out as an obvious purchase.

I drove to that convention overnight from Toronto, about 8 hours. I arrived before the con opened and went to check into my hotel room, the Super 8 down the road; best hotel value at the con at the time, especially for a solo traveler. My room wasn't ready for check in, so I caught a catnap in my car. I was dead tired but after 3 hours, with the windows cracked and the moon roof open, the temperature inside was boiling and woke me up.

I have been collecting OA since 1997 but this was the convention that changed everything. It was here I acquired more OA pieces than any convention since, returning home with a number of pieces that remain in my collection to this day.
