For a commission collector, there's nothing better than when an artist just gets it.

Drew Johnson clearly gets it. I don't believe that he and I discussed the fact that both Lara Croft (a.k.a. Tomb Raider) and Shiera Hall (a.k.a. Hawkgirl) are archaeologists, but Drew jumped all over that notion to create a stunning and character-appropriate scenario for these two stalwart heroines.

Who needs Indiana Jones when you've got Lara and Shiera? (Well, Marion Ravenwood might need him. But that's a whole other thing.)

Rankins does it again....I should just cut and paste and use that over and over because when you are in the Michael Rankins gallery, each piece is pure gold. I love the way this came together and it is a perfect marriage of their backgrounds and this drawing. Congrats!
