Tom Bancroft: Ariel the Little Mermaid 2010

      Tom Bancroft is an animator and print cartoonist. His latest creative effort is the Outnumbered webcomic. Tom is the creator of the Opposite Forces comic book which featured covers by J. Scott Campbell and Frank Cho. Tom's written the instructional books Creating Characters with Personality and Character Mentor: Learn by Example to Use Expressions, Poses, and Staging to Bring Your Characters to Life. He was supervising animator for the dragon Mushu in Disney's Mulan and created Larryboy for Big Idea's VeggieTales. I first met Tom when he was an exhibitor at San Diego in 2002. This Ariel drawing is one of several Little Mermaid concepts for a gift drawing. I bought a second one for my niece.
