DescriptionGot my Stegman cover and it’s a nice one! Looks a little familiar I think…When I saw the solicitation for this cover I hoped I’d have a shot at picking it up. The Superior Spider-Man #1 cover that it’s based on is awesome – I don’t know where that went but thought this would be…wait…was going to say the next best thing but I think this one is just as nice! Stegman used the layout from Superior Spider-Man #1, modified his pencils, and then inked it. Reminded me of Spider-Man #’s 1 and 13 by McFarlane – a Spidey first issue with the exact cover used for a later book but with a different costume. Very cool imagery – definitely a more ominous tone that I think might match Kaine and the Scarlet Spider outfit more? Then again the original is the original and I really do like the lighting on that one…hmmm…I’ll leave it up to y’all. Images of both published covers included below. So you're the lucky one who got this. I think it is one of the most dynamic Spidey covers in recent years. It definitely emphasizes the darker tone of the new Spider-man. Congrats!

Holy crackers and cheese, how did I miss this one?!? This is one of my very favorite Stegman Scarlet Spider covers. Of course the homage is cool, but Stegman really captures the more insectoid qualities of the character, plus the inking is so bold and energetic. Congrats!!

Yup, egzzzactly! Tha's what I liked about the original Superior Spidey 1 cover and this one! Definitely played up the spidery aspects to great effect, like a certain Mr. McFarlane used to do :) Thanks for the comments, man!
