DescriptionWhen I was a kid I collected the various Marvel and DC Comics stamp collections that came out... even the one where you (gasp!) had to cut them out of the comics! In 2006 DC produced a series of really cool stamps that I gobbled up as well. As you may know from looking at my comic art collection, I really love sketch cards. They're a great way to collect your favorite characters and artists without breaking the bank. So when Robert Pope recreated these stamps as sketch cards, I just had to have them! This is one of my favorites. It's an homage to the great Jim Aparo, as Aquaman appears here very much in his style. I think it's awesome! (I've also included a scan of the set of stamps themselves so you can see how faithful this art is to them.)Social/Sharing |
