Disney Moby Dick - Uncle Scrooge as Captain Achab

I managed to meet Paolo at the beginning of 90s in Rome and also got a magnificent Paperinik sketch to prove it. Now, something like 20 years after, I had the chance to meet Paolo again, this time in Albissola, where he was displaying a set of outstanding illustrations whose theme is his upcoming parody (written by Francesco Artibani) of Moby Dick that will be published on Topolino magazine in just a few weeks.

He was so kind to draw me a sketch of Uncle Scrooge as Captain Achab.

Can't say how happy I am for this.

I consider Paolo one of the most talented artists out there! His work for Disney Italy is simply gorgeous (I guess his upcoming Moby Dick will really be something!) but also take a look to his stunning work in France in books like Careme, Deus or Redemption
