This must be one of the last strips Charles Schulz gave away. I met him on my first trip to America, in early August 1999. Just a couple of months later he was diagnosed with cancer, and in six months, he was gone. I sure have never regretted making the effort to go and seek him out in Santa Rosa that summer, or forgotten the impression he left on me, not just as a great cartoonist, but as an incredible human being.
