Vainio, Jyrki
I'm a cartoonist and illustrator based in Helsinki, Finland. I've loved comics and cartoons all my life, and have been lucky enough to accumulate over the last 25 years this collection of original art from people whose work I grew up reading and admiring. For me, these pieces of art now offer not only viewing pleasure, but also serve as a constant a source of inspiration: these are the people I like - and professionally, this is the group I want to be a part of.
Over the last decade, my collecting has focused more and more on old Finnish cartoon art. I believe this is now the largest private collection there has ever been on this subject.
