ZZZ - Samples of my own drawings
Here's a selection of my own cartoons and comics, some in English and some in Finnish.
Although many people know me primarily as a comic art collector, for me the fundamental reason for collecting has always been that I'm an artist myself. I started collecting art around the time I first started getting my own work published (right after high school), so the two have always been closely linked for me.
I first collected art from artists I most admired, and being able to see their originals gave me a lot of insight into their working methods - and eventually also gave me an introduction to meet many of them. Although I was a collector and a fan, most of all, though, when meeting my heroes, I was a young cartoonist hoping himself to be a professional one day. And that, more than anything, has allowed me to have some truly amazing meetings over the years that I wouldn't have been able to have otherwise.
