X-men team sketch (Pixie, Domino, Kitty Pryde, Psylocke and X-23) by Clay Mann

Commission sketch on two X-men #1 blanks. Both CGC SS 9.8.

I love Clay Mann's art and have wanted one of his team sketches for a while now. Decided to get it done across two blank covers instead of a wraparound so I can display the full sketch after the books have been slabbed by CGC.

Clay was great to work with and ran with my ideas for the commission. I asked for Pixie and X-23 to bookend the group and for Domino to be crouching/sitting in the back, holding a rifle. I also requested that they all be looking at the "camera"/viewer. When he wondered about which costumes I'd like them to wear, I asked if he'd be up for creating some matching uniforms to make the group look like an X-men team. He said "sure thing" and this is what he came up with.

I'm delighted with how this one turned out, I think it looks awesome. Thanks, Clay!
