Self-portrait by Ed Brubaker

Ed Brubaker is one of the most respected writers in comics today, but some might not know he started out as a cartoonist, writing and drawing his own indy comics, such as A Complete Lowlife. At the time he did this sketch, he was working at DC under its Vertigo imprint, with Scene of the Crime and Deadenders, but for his contribution to "Ouch, That's Gotta Hurt!" he opted to offer something more akin to his earlier work with an image of a zipper incident sure to induce cringes in every man who looks at it. Another funny sketch featuring a great self-caricature.
