Description

I'd seen this great variant cover that Bob Layton'd done for Iron Man #225 on his site. It had Iron Man tangling with Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man. ~Super~ cool. I got me thinking of something similar, specifically Superman fighting Luthor and the Brainiac. That quickly changed, though, into the classic Perez era JLA instead taking on appropriate Marvel counterparts as a part of a grand free-for-all mash-up!

I had no idea who I was going to ask to draw Elongated-Man ... until I connected him to the Impossible Man. Then I knew I wanted to ask the Fraims. Playing up the comedy angle brought the obscure the Spot into the picture and Brendon went appropriate trippy with it. I did try to follow all the EM loops but ended up passing out and waking up, dazed in Trenton. Wonderful face on Ralph and I always like those little touches like how it looks like Impossible Man's actually wearing shorts (as opposed to a multi-colored onesie).

I hope to, one day, fill out the complete Justice League roster :)

I would pay good money for this comic. The Spot is one of the best, most underused characters at Marvel. Great piece by the Fraims!
