DescriptionPurchased from the collection of Cori & Al Williamson in December 2013. Cori had told me that she would let me know when she was feeling like selling some Alex Raymond artwork from their collection "because of your love of Raymond art (and that you like Al's work). Al so enjoyed when someone liked the art in his collection as much as he did." - Cori Williamson. A lovely addition to my collection which originally resided in the collection of the world`s #1 Alex Raymond fan -- Al Williamson.My favourite panels are actually the 3rd and 4th panels. The 4th panel is burned into my memory from a childhood reading of the adventure in my older brother and sister's Big Little Book. The 3rd panel is just an excellent depiction of an exuberant Flash Gordon. I love what Raymond achieves in the way he inks Flash's pants in panel 3. Social/Sharing |

Truly masterpiece. The girl in first panel is so beautiful! And fourth is simply spectacular, with the dark background and all the details. Congratulations, Ray.

Nice piece by the all time brush master! You can see his influence on Russ Manning too in this piece.
