Description

Starr occasionally started a daily strip with an establishing shot in which he went to town on. This is one of those. The attention to detail in the first panel here is astonishing, from the stone driveway to the meticulously drawn house and the greenery surrounding it. These are all things that in the world of soul crushing daily deadlines was not necessary or even expected by anyone, but Starr was a pro's pro and could never allow himself to put forth anything less. Beautiful, clean penwork. Simple and effective.
