Description

Hal Foster has always been my favorite artist. When I saw a group of strips that Harry had done in tribute to the character of Prince Valiant, I about doing a commission involving the character. I requested that it be an ink piece. Harry replied that his ink work was not as good as his painted subjects, but he would be glad to give it a shot. This is the finished piece. I think he did a wonderful job of capturing Val in action. I'm very proud to have it in my collection.

Look at this work and see where part of Frank Cho's inspiration came from.Harry Roland and Frank Cho both contributed to the same ERB fanzine before Harry Roland died.
