Karate Kid vs. Thundra by Carlos Pacheco

I have loved Carlos Pacheco's art ever since I first saw it in The Flash. I have read almost every comic he's drawn since then, and he continues to amaze me. When I saw that he would be at Wizard World New Orleans 2014, I knew that I would be going after him for a Karate Kid commission. After thinking about it for some time, I decided on Thundra for the opponent because I really enjoyed how Carlos drew her back in Avengers Forever. And Carlos delivered this spectacular piece to me in about three hours, which amazed me, since he was also signing autographs and talking to people while he worked on it. I love the energy in this commission, how Carlos included Thundra's chain, and of course the colors. Thanks, Carlos!

Thundra is not only strong enough to go toe-to-toe with the Thing and the Hulk, but she's also a trained warrior, and has highly developed fighting skills. Also, she knows how to use that chain as both a weapon and as a restraining device, so Val Armorr better watch out. I think that the best strategy for Val here would be to piss Thundra off and hope that her rage keeps her from thinking too much about the fight and how to counter his moves. Because otherwise, he might go down in this battle.
