Infectious Lass by
Derec Donovan
How can you not love Infectious Lass? She has a fantastic and unique look, and with the power to make anyone sick with any disease or ailment, she is potentially one of the most powerful characters in comics. Drura was rejected when she first tried out for the Legion of Super-Heroes due to a lack of control over her powers. But she didn't give up, and instead joined the Legion of Substitute Heroes, eventually gaining a much greater control over her powers. I loved her appearances in the "Five Years Later" stories and the post-Zero Hour Legion, where she was depicted as a very formidable opponent. And I also really dug the "Doctor 13: Architecture & Immortality" story that she appeared in a few years ago. Hopefully she will be rescued from character limbo soon and used again, because she's just too cool of a character to be ignored. Derec did another fantastic job here with his awesome depiction of Drura. She looks powerful and intimidating, and yet also a bit disgusting with those phlegm-like things hanging off of her arms! I also think Derec did a great job with those lines all over her costume. Thanks again, Derec!
