DescriptionAlmost four years in the making and it's finally done! Words can't express how excited and overjoyed I am with this piece.I always wanted a piece done by Marc, especially after seeing his Batman w/ the Darkness cover pieces (if you know Marc's work, this piece should be obvious). To me his Batman rivals that of the great Jim Lee, and when he accepted my commission request and idea I couldn't wait to see what he could put together. Talia has always been my favorite Batman villainesses (or ally in some cases). To see Batman and her come together in this piece is truly stunning. Marc went out of his way to even throw in an easter egg request of having Ra's hidden in there as well, as it is his Lazarus pit Batman saves Talia with (near Wayne manor of all places)in this piece. Marc's attention to detail is superb, and this was truly worth the wait. Initially I thought he would get someone like Joe Weems to ink the final piece, but lo and behold, Marc decided to do the inking himself! I couldn't have asked for anything more. The final product of this piece is truly cover worthy. Thank you so much to the Silvestri team for making this happen. While it took a while, it was well worth the wait. Social/Sharing |

By all accounts from his team, he really enjoyed working on this one (then again, I'm sure he enjoys working on all his pieces). I know he went though alot during the four years, so I'm really thankful he was able to work on it when time allowed and getting it done.

This is so amazingly awesome! What an awesome commission from Marc, and he really pulled out all the stops! INCREDIBLE! Huge congrats buddy!

Congrats on a fantastic commission! Pencils by Marc is one thing, but that's some phenomenal inking work by him too. Now I'm looking even more forward to the day my name comes up on his commission list...

Now this is the kind of Batman comic art I've been wanting to see for a long time. Marc has said for years he has a Batman story to tell, well if anyone at DC is reading: NOW would be the time to get Silvestri to draw it! Holy gosh! This is the best Batman cover of the decade! Congratulations is in order, 4 years is one heck of a wait but Marc delivered a knock out.Would love to see the thumbnail progressions of this modern masterwork.

Congratulations! Marc Silvestri is one the best out there! I love this piece--Talia looks amazing and Batman is rendered perfectly!
