Description

It's been 20 years since the introduction of "Monkeyman and O'Brien" and I just wish someone would talk Arthur Adams into doing more. Besides being beautifully drawn, the writing was a refreshing throwback to the Silver Age with alien invasions, other-dimensional threats and more glorious monsters than you could ever hope to see outside of a Lee/Kirby classic.

Seriously, someone at least talk Dark Horse or IDW into gathering everything into a slick omnibus edition.

Among the many highlights of that introductory series was a groovy little substitution cipher used for Axwell Tiberius's "alien language". Kudos to letterer L. Lois Buhalis for coming up with a consistent and alien-looking font. In case you didn't catch it or didn't feel like doing the translating, there it is on the right. The additional dialogue on this (and the two preceding pages) add a bit of backstory that makes it even more fun.
