Description

The Weirdo Legionnaire by "Calamity" Jon Morris

When Jon sent me my two commissions he also sent me two bonus sketch cards! The first one is of a little-known character in Legion lore: The Weirdo Legionnaire! During the Legion of Super-Heroes' first battle with Computo (Adventure Comics #'s 340-341), things went very badly for the team. One of Triplicate Girl's bodies was destroyed (thus her becoming Duo Damsel), and Computo was easily defeating and capturing Legionnaires. Then the Weirdo Legionnaire showed up, who Computo knew nothing about. Computo could not figure out this mysterious Legionnaire's powers, and this confused and scared him, leading to the captured Legionnaires being freed and eventually, Computo's defeat. The Weirdo was revealed to be Proty II, the shapeshifting pet of Chameleon Boy. It was definitely one of Proty II's most memorable moments, and a classic story. Anyway, thanks to Jon for this sketch card and huge respect to him for picking such a cool Legion character!
