Bane by Ron Salas

I had read Batman comics here and there, but I didn't really start collecting them until the Knightfall crossover. So to me, Bane was a huge deal. The way he put Batman through a gauntlet of battles against his worst foes, just to confront him and finish him off in his own base, well it amazed me. In some later stories I didn't like him as much, but Bane was always a great character when written by Chuck Dixon and Gail Simone. He was complex, disturbing, and downright scary. Ron did an incredible job with this commission, giving me a super-intimidating Bane who looks like he's about to take someone apart. I love how the veins are showing in his arms and the destructive background behind him. As always, thanks to Ron for always delivering amazing commissions to me!
