Description
A big Ron Smith Dredd-head at the top of the page, bold title underneath and old stony face threatening a talking horse - I love it.

This was the first piece of original comic art I ever bought, back in 1988/89. I got it from Comic Showcase on Neal St in Covent Garden for £30. Being 12 or 13 years old, I remember the staff were quite reluctant to sell it to me and wouldn't let me near the Bolland or McMahon art (not that I could have afforded the £100/page they were asking for at the time!)

Wonderful Dredd page. Since you have it framed and its the first piece of artwork you bought will not try and tempt you to sell it. Keep it. Its magnificent.

Superb! Classic Ron Smith! I remember Comics Showcase in Covent Garden well...all those un-purchased pages!

A great page! And an interesting story in the description. Wish i'd have been around in the days of Comics Showcase!

A wonderful page, sir -- one of the best stories that Ron smith illustrated. Henry Ford was a nice nice comic relief character too.

Great page and from a very good story. I remember that store, they had loads of artwork and I bought some McMahon pages from The Last American.

Great opening panel, with a really unusual angle. You chose so well, as the linework is just magnificent here. I love the Comic Showcase story. Those were the days. As I recall, there was some reluctance to let anyone near the art (except Garry Leach, who was always welcome to look at everything).
