Thor by Walt Simonson

As he's best known for his landmark run on Thor in the 1980s, Walt Simonson has been incorporating a cartoonish version of the Thunder God into his signature for decades. So when I approached him for a quickie sketch at Comic-Con International San Diego in 2000, I was fully expecting the standard Simonson signature. Imagine my delight to discover he did, in fact, incorporate my "Ouch, That's Gotta Hurt!" theme to make for a unique variation on his familiar autograph.
