Description

Jack Kirby and Vince Colletta: Love Romances #105, "I Dare Not Tell Him", Page 4 (Marvel, 1965). The "King" showed he could handle tender romance scenes with as much aplomb as he did all-out action slugfests, with this page from the popular romance genre. The image area of this melodramatic masterpiece measures 12.5" x 18.5" and nobody can accuse Vince for not delivering a superb inking job.
Thanks to Glen Gold for pointing out Lichtenstein's Image-Duplicator. He actually swiped both Jack Kirby and Bruno Premiani.

as much complaining in regards to vinnie's inks on kirby, vinnie certainly knew how to ink a lady!!!

Great page! Jack was the master dramatist, and Vinnie was indeed quite adept at this kind of material... it's quite nicely rendered.
