I totally agree about the Forties vibe and the colors are just perfect for this rendition. Great piece!

I just got a blast of nostalgia of the old Fleischer Superman Cartoon. love it! Congrats on such a magnificent piece!

Great grit, color and lighting by the massively talented Mr. Rude. He's the reason I bought the 1990 World's Finest miniseries.

Wow! This is an stunning illustration of Superman by the great Steve Rude! Love how his heat vision just lights up the night sky over Metropolis! The colors on this illustration are all very naturalistic except for the almost neon glow of Superman's Super-Vision! What a fabulous tribute to the Man of Steel!
