The Mighty Crusaders vol.2 Issue 29 - Cover (Imaginary)

I'd enjoyed putting together the "last issue spectacular" covers that Mitch did for me so much that I couldn't help but think about building out that 80's Crusaders universe.

I'm an unabashed fan of Alex's Perezian abilities and I'm very happy he was interested in contributing to this series of Crusaders covers. A cover inspired by the first Avengers comic I ever bought, #161. I really dig the Infantinoness to O Vingador here. And the fingers on Lancelot Strong and Mister Midnight are wonderful. I asked him not to go nuts with the Micro-Men, we need to save those hands for posterity, but he went ahead and and filled it up anyway. I'm just glad he didn't charge my by the figure. This may be my favorite of Alex's he's done so far. Chris Ivy came up trumps with the Micro-Men logo. It makes me want to bring them back again just to use it again ;) As always, I hope Crusaders fans approve :)

In This Issue ...

When Doctor Evil returned last issue he brought with him Steel Sterling's old sparing partner the robotics genius Monster-Master with him. When Lancelot Strong refuses Evil's attempt to blackmail him the good Doctor sends Monster-Master after the Crusaders to cause trouble. And the inventor unleashes his miniature army of Micro-Men on the team. Also this issues - changes are coming to the team as CatGirl takes this opportunity to say good-bye and return to her own time. Also, racked by guilt over what he has done for Doctor Evil, Lancelot Strong decides that he too is going to leave the team. And who is that figure in shadow visiting the still hospitalized Shield?
