Kim Deitch: Hollywoodland Cover Concept (1984). Concept art for the Hollywoodland one-shot published by Fantagraphics; the final cover had an almost identical central figure, but the background was expanded in a horizontal format. I have scanned the covers of my own copy of the book. Drawn in the irresistable Deitch style and a great read as well. On the ground outside the burning tent we have Miles Microft, the alcoholic "psychic detective". Ink on Bristol, the image area measures 7.25" x 9.75".
