Wow! I remember this one well. Huge congrats! This is an epic piece for sure!
The few paintings I have seen by the masterful Jim Lee (especially this one) have all left me floored with my mouth hanging open. This is so so brilliant. Major congrats!
Whoa, this is fantastic!!
Very nice Duke! That's a great pick up!
Incredible man !
WOW! When did this happen D? Pre or post SDCC? Amazing, Spectacular, Sensational, Web of!
SOOO awesome! I remember staring at this image over and over again at the time--so cool! Trying to remember where I would have come across it--was it advertised in the Marvel mags at the time? Or maybe Marvel Age? It left a big impression on me--I wished that there was a Jim Lee-illustrated story to go with it. Huge congrats on owning this piece!
Remember this so well, what an incredible mix of rendering techniques, fantastic!!
Simply magnificent!
Wooowww!! Fantastic! What a treasure! \*o*/
Banzai carnage!
I always wished this could've remained a pen and ink piece, or at least do the coloring on a copy of the line art, but that's a small quibble, as it's still one of the coolest depictions of these two characters ever drawn. Congrats!
Sublime
Epic piece! Congrats!!!
Wow. Extremely impressive!
Wow! Truly outstanding, DF! I think these are 2 of Lee’s best characters and it’s not hard to see why here. Love ‘em. And ninjas?! And rare Lee paints!? The color work really is top notch. A winner all around. Sincere congrats!
Holy crap! Congrats man!!
Oh wow, you find some incredible stuff! This is awesome! Huge congrats!
Sweeeet!!
What a Masterpiece! Biggest congrats!
Amazing piece, congratulations
holy moly!!!!!
Wow....just WOW
awesome piece
Being a huge Punisher and X-Men fan... I really dig this. Jim Lee isn't known for his colors, but this is awesome! Right after the Zeck/Zimelman paintings for me!
So cool to see originals for these First Team prints. My favorites were the Nowlan Doctor Strange and the P. Craig Russell Mephisto (that I was lucky enough to acquire). Except for Jim, almost every artist in the series was an established painter. Which makes this piece even more special.
This is awesome. I have not seen too many Jim Lee paintings. Congrats!
Crazy cool!
One of my favorite Jim Lee pieces. Can't beat Wolverine, Punisher and a bunch of ninjas.
Dont mind me, looking at this for the Nth time. Super cool amazing piece of art! Congrats Man!
A mesmerizing piece from a jaw-dropping collection, congrats !
Wow, definitely a unique painted piece by one of the masters, congrats!
Of all the Incredible Jim Lee pieces he has drawn over the years, if you could have only one this would be my choice! Huge Congrats!
Such an incredible piece! I loved seeing Jim draw these two and hard to beat Wolvie battling the hand.
I remember seeing the originals way back in 2003 at Profiles in History - The Amazing Comic Book Art Auction. They were right at the door as you entered the auction room. They looked amazing. After the auction was over I stood there and stared at them for a good 10 -15 minutes, thinking if I was ever to get a Jim Lee piece these would be the ones.
I thought I had a chance...I would have made it out the door. I might have made it to the car, even though I parked a block and a half away, way past Mr Mxyzptlk's car. Having parallel parked in the street though I wouldn't have made it very far. Ah...what could have been. LOL
Congrats! A pair of truly special pieces.
Breathtaking
This is an insanely awesome piece. I somehow missed this back in the day. Looking back to when these lithos were made, it makes me recall those pre-internet days where if my local comic stores didn't carry something, I probably wouldn't know it exists. Thanks for sharing!
The proof that ninjas are crap is that they are so easy to kill.
Outstanding!!! Congrats!!
Congrats! I remember this well back when the limited prints were released.
Fantastic!
This is a crazy bad-ass grail pickup! CONGRATS!!!
Wow, this one's practically above words, there's just too much awesomeness to be contained (and makes me pine for the days when comic artists published art portfolios!), big congrats!
this is pretty cool
